I checked out the Smart Mop again. I've convinced myself it's not worth the money to test it out. I'll just wait until Target has it on sale in their 'As Seen on TV' aisle, when it won't cost me $40 to get a $20 mop that is probably only worth $10.
Anyhow, I don't really enjoy cleaning house. I don't mind certain things like mopping the floor or running a load of laundry, but I have trouble with washing bedding and dusting.
When I finally get around to dusting, it always shocks me at how much dust has accumulated on everything in our house. I stare at the enormous amount of dust coating everything in the house and think I don't understand where this is coming from, I just dusted two months ago. Seriously, why can't we just dust one time and be done with it? I'll tell you why, it's because we are the dust. I read that about 80 percent of the matter floating in the air is dead skin cells. Ewwww! If you have pets in your house it's even worse.
All this dead skin and pet dander is food for dust mites. Can I get another eewwww?
I don't know about you, but if I thought about dust mites, I would sleep on a concrete slab. There can be anywhere from a hundred thousand to ten million dust mites in a used mattress. If you want to read just how bad dust mites are, go here
Okay, I just finished reading that site on dust mites. I can see that dusting once every two months and washing the bedding every six months isn't going to cut it any more. This is warfare!
Death to Dust Mites!!
I need to go wash my bedding and then go shopping for a new pillow.
