Go Colts!! - Our Ties to Our Favorite Team

Today is the Super Bowl. I love the Super Bowl, especially when the Colts are in the Super Bowl. It's like another holiday for February. A good reason to get together with friends and family, eat a lot of food you wouldn't normally eat and drink more than you would normally drink. You can yell at the television, which is a great way to let off some steam and work off a few of those calories you just piled on by consuming too much guacamole.

Let's face it, who doesn't need a reason to party in the middle of Winter. I haven't seen the sun in six days!

The other thing I like about football is laughing at the inane comments the announcers make. In their defense (no pun intended), football really isn't that complicated of a game. I mean it's not like they're out there playing a game of chess.

I used to just block them out. Then I started paying attention and became really annoyed. Now I just laugh when they say something like, 'well, if he can get the ball to his wide receiver and he can make run for it, they should score here.' Ummm, yeah, isn't that pretty obvious.

Or how about this one when the quarterback has been tackled for the third time. 'Their line is collapsing in the middle. They need to tighten up and give him time to throw the ball'

I think I could be a football commentator.

I will try to listen tonight and write some more about the funny ones I hear. That, and the commercials, which at our house is often the main reason we watch the Super Bowl. Unless, of course the Colts are in the Super Bowl, in which case we just yell.....
